Spend your summer in Greece

Greece is located in the south of the Balkan Peninsula. The position of Greece is at the crossroads of Africa, Asia and Europe. At every step, the country exudes history and is considered the cradle of democracy, comedy, tragedy, the Olympic Games,…Greece in its largest part has a Mediterranean climate, with mild, wet winters and warm, dry summers. Mediterranean climate is present in all coastal locations, including Athens, Cyclades, Dodecanese, Crete, Peloponnese and parts of Stera Hellas (Central Mainland Greece).

The culture of Greece developed over several thousand years, from the Mycenaean culture, through the period of Classical Greece, then the Hellenic period, through the influence of the Roman Empire and its Greek Empire, which was created on the legacy of the Byzantine Empire. Modern Greece arose with the rejection of Turkish slavery.

Greek cuisine is famous all over the world. It is irresistibly reminiscent of the cuisines of the surrounding Mediterranean countries. The main stars among the foods are olives and olive oil, feta cheese, Greek yogurt, eggplant, garlic and onion, cucumbers, spinach, vine leaves, lemon, fish, as well as lamb, pork and chicken.

The Greek coast is extremely rugged and has many islands, peninsulas and bays. The Greek coast is washed by the Aegean, Ionian and Mediterranean seas. In Greece there is Mount Athos, an ecclesiastical state located on the Athos peninsula. The summer tourist season, in most resorts, lasts from mid-May to the end of September.
