In the coastal regions of Montenegro, quality sea fish is usually served, prepared in different ways – “on gradele”, boiled, fried or as “brodet” (a dish with a Mediterranean taste, with a lot of olive oil, herbs and spices). The most famous “brodet” is prepared from sardines, which is a specialty of Boka (a dish prepared by the inhabitants of Boka Kotorska), especially with the addition of corn flour.
